ONE

I had this image in my head as a sketch but I was unsure about whether it would look better as a painting or installation. So I spoke to a couple of people and decided to install it, and see how it would look. As soon as I installed it, I knew it looked perfect. I was very certain on how it looked.

I initially wanted to use a Bible and a Quran, However to avoid any ethical issues I decided not to because there are rules and etiquettes to using or holding a Quran.

SUCH AS 

• A non-muslim should not handle the sacred text
• Nothing can be placed on top of a Quran
• Ensuring you perform formal ablution before handling the Quran and Tasbih
• Women who are menstruating should not touch the Quran or Tasbih
