BOOMERANG - PASCALE MARTHINE TAYOU

When I walked into the Sackler gallery I was filled with nostalgia because of the several african artefacts in the exhibition. When I saw the piece of text about Ghana, i felt a sense of identity. As a matter of fact, I sensed that from all his pieces.

I really liked the cotton piece. It was obvious that the subject matter was slave trade. However i enjoyed the contrast in the softness of the cotton and the sharpened wood that stuck out.
