OFIRI JATO

As a painter, I would like to create a moment to appreciate colour; and to point out the discrimination people with albinism face.

Albino's in Ghana are discriminated and given names such as
            ''OBRONI PETE''

''OBRONI'' - Term referred to a light skin coloured person
''PETE/ P3T3 '' - Means vulture, referring to rubbish damp

In countries like Tanzania, they also called ghosts.

The discrimination has gone to the extent of them migrating to an island where they feel safer; the government has created special schools to make children feel safe and welcome into their own neighbourhood. It is ignorance that leads to them being sacrificed and used for rituals, but under what circumstances can I place the shawn of albinos in Ghana. I don't want them to be seen as ordinary - They are not

Red + Green will make an ordinary skin tone for an average brown skinned person in Ghana.
It would take you over 3 shade to paint an albino with a set of primary colours.

It is the journey to fine their inexistent skin tone that fascinates me.
