WHITE CUBE- CHRISTIAN MARCLAY

These images are taken from the White Cube Gallery Website because I lost all my images. When I first walked into the gallery I knew I was not going to see any paintings so I had to be as opened minded as I could. I ended up overthinking and digging to find deep meaning in his exhibition. When I saw the exhibition I assumed the thought behind his work was related to alcohol abuse and intake in the UK. The films created an impression of someone waking up on a Saturday/Sunday morning to observe the streets after a night out. However Christian Marclay was just interested in sound. I found that this was the same way I reacted to Reiner Ruthenbecks ''Overturned Furniture'' about geometry, shape and space. I really enjoyed this exhibition.

The onomatopoeic projections on the walls in the dark room were very sensitive to my eyes although aesthetically they were really good.

There was also a room with several glasses of different shapes and sizes. There was a composer on the day I went to see this exhibition. I originally thought He was Christian Marclay, but after speaking to him, I found out that he works with several composers who work with Christian Marclay.
