EXPOSED

During my crit, a few people asked why I paint from references and leave them as they are without leaving a signature look on them or make them abstract. To me realism is presenting objects as truthfully as possible. In this topic it is completely appropriate to paint without editing or changing how my subjects look. This is because individuals with skin defects and scars are possibly unhappy with the way the look or vice versa. Therefore I wanted to present them as they are in the finest way possible.
