Unfortunately, no cameras were allowed for this show.
I went to see Goya's exhibition 1 week into my final project. I did not know much about Goya until after going to this show. I was interested in why the exhibition/ his album was titled ''The witches and old women'' because it reminded me of the stereotypical and superstitious labels we put on old women and cats back in Ghana; and this often leads to isolation or death. The title of the show always suggested a connotation of religion .
When I first walked in, the show was introduced by etching, this was the beginning of the album with notes explaining some of the work and the state Goya was in whiles producing these pieces. These notes were apparently written by his son.
What I really enjoyed was how each piece told a story. The way he used animals and babies were also provoking
